Default -ended- potion of cowardice and helper asking for help

Here's the situation.
It's my combat, one of my fellow players has played an undead and i can no longer win the battle, so i enlist some help from another fellow player. The player who played the undead then played mate. I used potion of cowardice to run away leaving my helper defenseless. Can the said helper ask for help even though it wasn't his battle?

A potion of cowardice is used to force another player to run away from his battle. On your own turn, you can run away from your own battle if you are losing. You would not have to play a potion against yourself.

When you run away from your battle, your helper runs away too.

While i have just noticed that my use of the potion was wrong, it does say "any combat". So i think i was within it's area of use. But thank you, this post did help.

But say the person who kicked down the door has a helper and the person who kicked down the door somehow got kicked out of battle, can the helper ask for help?

I am supposing you could use it to run away when you were winning, but there is no need to use it if you are losing.

If the player runs away from his battle, his helper runs away too.

The key here is that the Potion of Cowardice does not get anyone out of combat for free. It forces whomever it was played on to Run Away, which means that person would have to roll against each Monster to see if he were successful in Running Away from it, or if he would have to suffer its Bad Stuff. A player who is losing the combat may already chose to Run Away without such a card, and if he has help, then the helper must also flee.

So, if you play Potion of Cowardice on yourself while you're losing a combat, it's a wasted play, as it's forcing you to do something you can already choose to do on your own without having to use the card. If you play it on yourself when winning, and for some reason that's actually advantageous to you or incredibly harmful to someone else, then it's conceivable that you're not completely wasting your energies. But, I repeat: The card does not let you get away for free. You must still roll to Run Away from each Monster.

And only the player whose turn it is can ask for help...

I think we've covered the bases here. If the OP wants to ask for further clarification, they may; otherwise, let's consider this thread ended.
