Default Quantity in Equipment Template?

I'm working on some basic loadout teamplates for my campaign. I'd like to be able to define quantities of some gear (arrows, rations, etc). I can have it add gear but is there a way to assign a quantity from within a template?

As far as I know you can set quantity the same way you'd set Level for attributes or skills:

{EQ:Rations}=12

Would add 12 Rations to the character.

Squiggle brackets! I forgot the squiggle brackets. Thanks Eric. It's working now.

Now, if only there was a way to define parent/child relationships in the template...

A trait can make another trait a child using the parentof() tag; the tag has to be a part of the trait that's the parent, so you'd have to use creates() to add a version of the trait with the parentof() tag.

Thanks for that. I've been experimenting but haven't gotten it to work for me. Are there any examples in the Repository where it is working? Maybe I'm formatting something incorrectly (okay, "maybe" is generous, I'm misformatting something, somewhere). Thanks again!

GURPS Ultra-Tech 4e.gdf and GURPS After The End 1 - Wastelanders.gdf both use Parentof() extensively for semi-meta-trait type traits.

Ahh. Thank you.

Those aren't using parentof() quite the way I was hoping to do it with equipment. I'm still experimenting trying to figure them out. I just didn't want to not say thanks for the help.
