Yeah, I'd check the comments on the thread - there is some good ideas there. :-)

"Immunity" is possible, but it requires some guesswork, a bit of math, and the GM putting flat limits on the maximum amount of damage in his setting.

Gamemaster’s Guidepost: Monster Hunters Campaign - The Broken Night

Today’s Gamemaster’s Guidepost is yet another departure from the standard fare I’ve been producing. In fact, it’s a radical from anything I’ve ever posted on my blog. This is something that I’d normally held in reserve for a Pyramid article. But I decided that I have so much already in that grouping that it was time to take a chance. So here it is. A worked (short) campaign example for GURPS Monster Hunters.

GURPS101: How to Build a Spell Thief

I like collecting ideas from the forums for my blog. Sometimes it's from someone who wants to see what I'll do with the topic, other times I openly ask folks what should I wrote about next. Sometimes, I just get my grubby little magpie claws on something I see and run with it. This is one of those times.

One of the more common tropes in fiction - the stealer of magic and/or skill thief - is currently modeled with best with Modular Abilities. But what if there was a better (or at least different) way? Today's GURPS101 answers that question.

I just called Shieldbunny on the phone and told him he'd never believe that Ghostdancer just did a blog post about Spellthieves and quoted him

Unfortunately Shieldbunny reminded me he has work at dawn tomorrow so he hasn't gotten to look at it yet

LOL. Well, it won't go away, it's there for the foreseeable future. :-)

Melee Academy: The Feats of Samson

"He was the strongest man that ever had lived on earth.
One day when Samson was walking along,
Looked down on the ground, he saw an old jawbone.
He stretched out his arm, God knows, chains broke like thread,
When he got to moving, ten thousand was dead."

Samson - the original Incredible Hulk - is one of my favorite stories in religious literature. It's got action, (bad) romance, and danger with an ending worthy of Weinstein. Today's blog post is all about Samson and some of the things he did using GURPS as a framework to gauge the story and make it gameable.

GURPS101: More Human Than the Humans

A couple of thoughts on GURPS Monster Hunters Experiments. Basically, they're cool...how can I make them cooler?
