Default Re: Dragon guano

I too enjoy guns in my games.

Some solutions:

  1. A dragonet is a dragon in miniature. You could probably create a dragonet farm since they live in groups. The dung is vastly reduced, but so is the cost of feeding and wrangling them and the space required.
  2. Due to the presence of a sulfur-metabolizing microorganism, gunpowder is rare, expensive, and unreliable. Have a Chemist/Physicker Guild research a sulfur-metabolizing microorganism neutralizer. Then mass produce that. Add it to your gunpowder and it will help eliminate the unreliability and rarity and perhaps the expense.
  3. Import! Find a gate that connects to merchants of a higher tech level and bring it over. Unfortunately, if you don't do #2, it will probably wreck havoc on your imported powder.
  4. If your characters are clever, use the gate to 'export' the sulfur-metabolizing microorganisms through the gate to those who won't do business with you.
  5. Create steam-guns, air guns, or (if ITL Legacy has them) exploding gems that are fired from crossbows.
  6. Just announce that your portion of Cidri does not have problems with sulfur-metabolizing microorganisms and have at it.
