Re: Triplanetary - Touchdown!
37 years. ;)
My copy arrived today as well! It is absolutely drop-dead GORGEOUS. I know I've been saying that about a lot of SJ Games products over the past few years, but it's because they are beautiful. I love that this game is so simple to learn (basically just six pages of rules!), and yet so infinitely filled with possibilities. I think I'm going to pick up some classically-styled space ship miniatures for it. Thank you so much! |

Re: Triplanetary - Touchdown!
I agree. I finally got a chance to sit down and unfold the map, and it is STUNNING!

Re: Triplanetary - Touchdown!
Got mine yesterday, the box was left on the porch in the rain, no plastic bag around it:(
Fortunately the game was shrink wrapped well, no damage. It looks great!

No joy here on the Left Coast.
Tomorrow?

Re: Triplanetary - Touchdown!
My copy arrived today.
After looking over the counter sheet I notice that the Red, White & Blue Corsairs are 2-20s, not 4-20s. |

Re: Triplanetary - Touchdown!
I am trying to guess how long I have to wait for my copy. I see those who live east of the Mississippi River and on the forums have received them.
Tick... Tick...

Re: Triplanetary - Touchdown!
Got mine in Toronto, Canada yesterday (June 21). It had some rough handling and two corners were lightly crushed. Not enough to detract from my enjoyment at finally getting to play this game for which I've been waiting 30 years.

Interestingly, the box had some dings inside and out, and I have the same issue with lightly crushed corners. This appears to have been an issue with handling prior to insertion in the shipping box. Quality The maps are heavy, well-produced, and nicely finished. Areas where I was hoping for a little more: Surprisingly, the counters are only printed on one side. I also prefer the quality and finish of my Ogre Designer Edition cardboard counters. I also would have preferred the rules and reference sheet to feature the glossy paper instead of standard paper. Next, to actually experience the game. |
