Wishing Fish
Hello all,
I forget the name of the set I was using but I had a card called Wishing Fish, which is similar to a Wishing Ring in that it cancels any curse. I got hit with a curse that had a persistent effect. I also forget the specifics of the curse but it said something like "until the curse is lifted with a Wishing Ring some bad effect stays on you" I argued that my wishing fish should be able to cancel this curse, as it can cancel any curse and the wording on the curse I want to cancel should not matter. However if the curse were to hit me without me being able to immediately cancel it and the persistent effect were to take hold, only then would I specifically need the Wishing Ring. The other players argued that because the curse specifically said Wishing Ring in bold, a Wishing Ring was the only way to cancel this curse. So who was right? |

Re: Wishing Fish
The Wishing Fish is from Grimm Tidings and works exactly like the Wishing Ring. It can be used in all cases where a Wishing Ring can be, including the one you mentioned.
And I'm the designer, so this is the official answer.

Re: Wishing Fish
Thank you for the answer.
I have a follow up question. Some Wishing Rings say "Cancel any curse" while others say "Cancel any trap or curse" depending on the set they are from. Can any Wishing Ring (or Wishing Fish) cancel any trap or curse? |

Re: Wishing Fish
Yes. Traps, Curses, and Disasters are equivalent and anything affecting one will also affect the others.
