Default Question about a Munchkinomnicon Spell

Today I was playing with Munchkinomnicon and my group came across a question involving the spell card "The Slippery Swap". Player kicked down a door, it was a monster he could not beat. He then proceeded to play the Slippery Swap spell from his hand and pick up the door kick and replace it with a lower level monster from his hand. Is this a legal move?

That's pretty much exactly what the Slippery Swap is intended to do. What about the card confused you?
