Trucks, in Ogre
So while I can hold out hope for trucks in plastic from a future minis KS campaign, it also seems less likely to occur since trucks can easily be proxied.
I've been looking at various GHQ Micro Armor trucks to use, but then got to wondering, is "Iron Mountain" pretty much the scenario that uses the most trucks, or does some other scenario surpass it in unit count? I.E.; how many trucks do I need in my collection? |

You must be new to miniatures gaming. The answer is "all the trucks +1 just to be sure". ;)
I think Iron Mountain is likely the truck heaviest official scenario. |

Well, with nearly 600 unpainted metal mins, and now 700 odd plastic ones, and a further 750 coming next Summer, yes, "more" makes sense. I just wondered if anyone knew of something larger than IM that could be referenced.

Re: Trucks, in Ogre
So looking it up, 'Turkey Shoot' needs roughly 18 trucks (thank you, I would have missed that one entirely), while 'Iron Mountain' needs "just" ten. Since GHQ packages their trucks either 4 or 5 per blister, 20 units would be sufficient for now.
For general looks, I'm leaning towards the four wheeled Chinese one: http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/rc10.html Or one of the Soviet ones: http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/w110.html http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/w111.html Or for really heavy trucks: http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/w112.html http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/n84.html I already have some of the MAN ones. |

Re: Trucks, in Ogre
I'd go for the MAN units. Future military equipment will only be heavier and/bulkier. Besides the MAN trucks look cool.
Now - for hovertrucks? |

Re: Trucks, in Ogre
Yeah, Footrace is "just ten" as well. The only reason I didn't use more is I needed to limit it to the available trucks in ODE when I wrote it. ;-)

I really like the KamAZ 6x6 and 8x8, and the MAN KAT...those are some cool looking trucks.

Re: Trucks, in Ogre
Other than twenty trucks, and I already have six of the MAN 10 ton models, I haven't decided further -- other than maybe twenty of one design for PE, and twenty of another for NAC. In which case, the MAN being German equipment now means PE later ...
