Trick Arrows: How to do it?
Hi!
I'm planning a game based on the Marvel Universe, and one character is based on Hawkeye. So, the question is: What is the best way to do it, in your opinion? I've found this thread [http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread...48#post644548], but my main problem is fatigue cost from Imbue skills. I also know that a Bow can be made using Innate Attacks, but what about just the arrows? I've found this old thread talking about something similar too: http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?t=7034 So, how you would do it?

This is of course in addition to WM:Bow and a near-magical Skill level but that's the extent of Hawkeye's "magical" powers. Some super-archer somewhere might have magic powers and Imbue his arrows with magical abilities (and a Magic Power Modifier for -10%) but his name is neither Hawkeye nor Green Arrow.

Re: Trick Arrows: How to do it?
I've just found this:
http://www.mygurps.com/r_archer.html Hmm. Although seems fine, still look like a ranged power, using range modifiers and all Innate Attack rules (for most part). And it probably does not interact with Weapon Master (Bow) and all cinematic bow rules from Martial Arts. Am I correct?

Re: Trick Arrows: How to do it?
Imbue 1-3 (Can only be powered by Energy Reserve -5%, Superscience -10%) 9/17/34
Energy Reserve (Superscience) 3/level The ER essentially acts as a modular quiver of arrows with a limited amount of ammunition that doesn't require Gadgeteering/Allies. (You'd probably want a Gadget based Power Modifier instead of Superscience, I just used it as a quick shorthand). Last edited by WingedKagouti; 06-22-2019 at 07:21 AM. |

I like this idea. But the warheads is for firearms. How to adapt that? Unnusual Background for a "Ultratech Bow"? Signature Gear? Both?

Use the 25mm grenade base cost, and the costs for different types of warheads.

Re: Trick Arrows: How to do it?
Hawkeye couldn't just barehanded hit someone with a trick arrow?
I don't know much about comic books. But that seems like something that would happen once in a while for coolness' sake.

Re: Trick Arrows: How to do it?
At the low end, gadgeteer and gizmos would work. Anything moderately plausible. At the high end I'd go with modular abilities. "You still have lead foil radiation containment arrows?" "Sure, you never know when you're going to run into the Radioactive Man."
