Finally got a shipping notice to Japan. I expect that other people in the "other" countries will receive shipping notices soon.

My tracking number says that it will arrive this Friday, and I am pleasantly surprised how fast the estimate is.

If mine can arrive on or before the 30th, I'll be set for my birthday. But it looks like I should have had the notification already if that were going to happen, oh well.

Yup; I literally live a day-trip from the states and Japan is getting it before me. :(

Pleased but mildly peeved to see that I am not the only Canadian wondering where the shipment might be.

Maybe Sean doesn't want to have to look at it again for awhile...

FWIW, I don't have a copy, either, and I'm the author.

Hi

I got a shipping notification, supposed to come tomorrow, so we Canucks are finally getting our packages - however I also got charged taxes and duties. I'm not complaining nescessarily just want to check in with the folks here to see if that was a common experience, as I can never understand these things, sometimes things get delivered no problem, you pay shipping and that's it, other times you get his with hefty duties (I paid 32.00; on top of the normal shipping costs). I got "I want it all" anybody else in my boat?

(also should say that I'm really excited about getting DF!!!)

I haven't got my notification yet, but I'm now sitting hitting refresh regularly on my email :)

My experience with customs is that yes, it's kind of rando.

It depends on how the paperwork gets filled out at the shipper, how the courier files it, which customs agent interprets it, and how that customs agent feels on any given day.

I now assume RPG material will get hit with duties and factor that in to my purchase. It's a pleasant surprise when it doesn't, but I try to not depend on it.

FWIW, my stuff marked as work samples with zero dollar value still gets this. I'm fairly certain it's just one of those annoying problems with the Canada-U.S. border.

Why couldn't you get a copy when you ran the demo at GenCon?

It seems like it would be really nice for the author to have an early hard copy to refer to and admire.
