You could Wait, take an Attack maneuver then use Extra Effort in Combat to take a Great Step, move two hexes, and then attack the Rhino as it charges by. If you aren’t using Extra Effort in Combat rules, then your best play is to not be in the path of a giant charging rhino in the first place. Fortunately, they’re hard to miss, so you can start moving for cover right away.

On the other hand, now that I actually read the Trample rules (4e Campaigns p 404), it turns out that the target doesn't even have to be Prone if the Trampler's SM exceeds his by 2+, so unless the target is also quite large it can just target him with the Trample in the first place anyway if it wants to, and a Dodge-N-Drop between its legs is probably the best response to that (if you can't chambara-jump over it), at least if it seems to have enough momentum to carry its whole body past the hex you'll wind up Prone in (because otherwise, yikes next round...) |

Presumably you'll get a turn before it does, so you have a chance to get out from under, don't you?

Eh, kind of. Most people can't move that far in one turn while Prone (it drops Move to 1 automatically by RAW - see 4e Campaigns p 367; I tend to call this: "1, or your Step if that's better than 1 and you make an Acrobatics roll," as a House Rule in cinematic games), so if the thing is 3 hexes wide and stops right over you, you're probably going to have a bad time.

If the rhino is 3 hexes wide then the middle hex is clear and can be used for avoiding the slam / trample / etc. Unless the rhino has some sort of exceptional IQ then it isn't going to be able to realize what you are doing and won't react by shifting to trample you once you drop out of sight.
