Re: Warehouse 23 - ogre mini set 2
You're in luck! E-mail just went out, they're done with inventory, and there were enough left to offer a few "Player" tiers on W23.

Re: Warehouse 23 - ogre mini set 2
Ouch.
$40 is much higher than I was anticipating for a Set 2 based on the GitD and non-GitD prices for Set 1. I fold.

Re: Warehouse 23 - ogre mini set 2
Set #1 on W23 is presently $39.95, and includes two Ogres.
Set #2 on W23 is $40.00 and includes two (different) Ogres. GitD Set #1 is on W23 for only $30, but to get both the Ogres, it's $45. So the value is roughly the same as we've previously seen. I went ahead and ordered a Set #2, "just in case", and another pair of the black Ogres ... one cannot have enough minis. |

Re: Warehouse 23 - ogre mini set 2
The first pair of non-GitD Black Ogres is 2/3 the price of the pair of GitD Ogres. I had been anticipating similar pricing this time and a full Set 2 around $30. Oh well.

Re: Warehouse 23 - ogre mini set 2
They are pricey in some ways -- but I only really buy Ogre stuff, so my budget isn't too stretched.
Unit count for unit count, Set #2 does feels slightly more expensive than Set #1 though, even if you do get a lot more LGEV and LT --- they're still LGEV and LT. The trick is Set #1 is heavy on INF, and Set #2 is heavier on actual armor units. |

My budget is stretched right now with WW2 in 28mm for Bolt Action and 15mm for Girls und Panzer homebrew gaming, The Fantasy Trip Kickstarter billing in a few hours, and hoping to add to my Dragon Dice Kickstarter in pledge manager at the start of the next fiscal month. ^,^ Oh, and some routine but big repair bills on the Cat Mobile x_X

Re: Warehouse 23 - ogre mini set 2
It had to be $40, because that's what they charged the folks on Kickstarter who just wanted a single copy of Set 2. If SJ Games charged less to its retail customers, there would be rioting.

Huh. So they did. And 78 backers (minus any drop-outs) bought that.

Re: Warehouse 23 - ogre mini set 2
On a per-mini basis, its a really good value, particularly considering the quality of the minis and the relatively small production runs.
Still, $40 plus shipping is a chunk of change at the moment. I've got a "many minis" coming with the rulebook in Nov, but its hard to wait. I probably have as many Set 1 minis as I'll ever use, but I'd still like a reverse set & a green set, if i can ever find them. Probably should just save up for MK VI & Battlefields KS So conflicted... |
