I started having a lot of doubts about the last part I posted - maybe I am straying too far from this just being an action adventure narrative.

For some reason, haven't figured it out yet, I cannot reach this web site from one of the computer's I use. It isn't the machine I write on, but it is usually the machine I post from (internet access varies depending on where and what I am doing). Trying to work out a solution. I do want to keep the story going.

I'm glad to hear that you are still writing. I hadn't seen anything new for awhile and was starting to worry. I hope you resolve the internet problem soon. Gremlins in the circuit boards are such a pain.

Keep up the good work, your story has been great reading so far.

Most of my time is spent on a computer that cannot access this web site and I cannot figure out where the block is coming from. When I try to reach this site on the other computer the machine just idles on a blank screen until a time out failure occurs.

I haven't quit, but I am discouraged. Using the phone is not an option and just typing this took care and time.

I am going to try to stop posting things in the other thread that are not parts.

Thank you for reading my story, and thank you, to Steve Jackson Games, for letting me post it.

If you want to help me write a better story, please use this thread to point out mistakes I am making, and I'll try to fix them, or if you have questions or comments I would love to hear from you.

Here is a sort of weird thing I wanted to share - Last night I dreamed I was a special guest at Steve Jackson Games booth at GenCon and I was signing limited edition GenCon exclusive character cards for the three main characters of this story.

That's silly, right? Right?

Part 22 is up - I think I'll wait till Sunday, after I buy my GenCon badges, to post part 23

I have wondered if the first three chapters of this story could be turned into a short adventure for three low (32) to middle (36) point characters by detailing the pirated lair a bit more, making it about five encounter areas.

In the story, technically, Tabitha would be the most experienced character, followed by Brendun, and then Alo, who would be an odd octopus folk, with no experience at all and slightly lower than expected stats.

That would make a good short adventure.

Maybe a bit more than could be done on a postcard, but certainly a one page.

Part 26 is up

I've tried to ask this before and I don't know that I was able to make my point correctly.

I would really like some feedback. I'm not looking for "oh, I love it." or "This is so good." No, not at all, though that is nice to hear.

I just would like to know if something is not working, or if it lacks a plot that makes sense, or if characters are acting inconsistent. Anything at all would be good.

I typically finish writing a 1,000 word part about five minutes before I post it - these are first drafts, with no, or almost no, editing at all.

Thank you.
