Drogo has been listening to Corwin and the caravan master talk. He's curious.

Since you immediately turned and talked to BOB, the caravan master answered Corwin's questions instead.

"Obviously help will be needed."

Corwin had a little knowledge of the area, perhaps enough to answer the bard's question. "From what I recall Old Fort is on a mountain spur to the west where the East-West Road nears it. Isolated Mountain is somewhere to the south off High Pass Road. Unfortunately I'm a little sketchy on the distances."

He continued to speak to the bard. "How much for a recruitment song full of travel and orc slaying?"

Slade is holding the two dice he most recently selected. "Indeed! Thanks for coming over. Hold these for me for a moment, please -- for good luck, you know." He passes the dice to Gidhean. "And if you don't mind, can you touch the table, too?" After a few seconds he takes the dice back from Gidhean and rolls them.

"I give this song freely if I can call you companion on this adventure!"

Janus begins strumming a lively melody, and composes a verse on the spot:

"There are troubles enough in the world,
But today is a dark day indeed,
With orcs so near our homes.
All of you should pay heed,
And think of doing great deed!
To arms my brothers, and wits if you have them.
An army cannot stop us, if each other we do not abandon.
Who then shall rise up to vanquish this foe,
To gain immortality in song or in woe?"

He looks around inquiringly...

[ooc] Let me know if you want any music rolls

Gidhean takes them into his hand, puffs twice. While doing it, he touches the table leg with his foot.

IF he felt some of these were magical, he returns the dice saying: "I don't believe in luck, because MAGIC is what turns the world.

Then sends a thought:
"My friend, these dice/table (ooc: or both) are, interestingly, really enchanted."

If I didn't, then he first mind-sends a thought:
"No magic in both dice or table, friend. I haven't felt a single clue.

Then he returns them: "Here you go friend, good luck."

OOC: I drained FP from powerstone, rolled 7 on Mind-sending.

"A question first, can you handle a weapon as well as you do a tune? I would not wish to take volunteers unprepared for what is ahead."
