Help me locate this (DF) sidebar.
The scout and the barbarian in my DF game took down and harvested a big bearlike beastie in the wilderness at the end of the last session. They carefully packed away all of the potentially useful pelt/horns/teeth and the like for sale back in town.
Somewhere in the canon ISTR there is an expansion of the rules in DF2 p.13 on "Dead Monster Bits" -- my recollection is that it is a sidebar which took into account the advantages/traits of the dead monster when working out how much the pelt, etc. is worth. I thought it was in DF 16 but I could not find it there, then I pondered whether in might be in ATE 2, but no joy there either. I then spent an hour or so going through several other sources that seemed likely (mostly the Pyramid issues dealing with DF, Low-Tech, or magic) but no luck. Have I overlooked it? Did I imagine it to begin with? I would be grateful if someone could steer me to this. |

Re: Help me locate this (DF) sidebar.
I suspect you are recalling Looting the Bodies (DF 8 p.13)
There's also references at Naturally Occurring Loot (DF 16 p.44), and PS (Dungeon Butcher) (DF 19 p.5), but neither of them at all close.

DF8 is it; I must have looked right past it. Thanks, all.
