Just getting back into SJGames.com and I run across a statted version of a gaming buddy's Paladog.

There isn't any other inspiration for Hank, then?

Are you trying to get me to admit that my dog is named Hank?

I admit it then. It's as good a name as any for a dog, and it's not like it isn't the easiest thing to change on that sheet.

I considered giving him a "Heel"-y kind of name like "Haley" but it seemed to push it too far in the cheese direction.

Implied by the existence of Hank the good dog is Rex the evil dog.
Rex is a terrier that has a knack for digging up bones. This led to him being taken in by a petite blond female necromancer with a low animal handling skill that was insufficient to curb any of Rex's bad habits. After a disagreement about the access to dog treats Rex ripped the necromancers throat out. Rex had however picked up the basics of a necromancers craft by then and now uses them for his own benefit.

When encountered Rex is usually carried in a specially made armoured container that is carried by the reanimated skeleton of his former master. Due to the weight if the container and the slight frame of the necromancer this requires a handbag like strap.

Due to being colour blind Rex is unaware of the amount of pink coloured material used in his carry container.

Awesome. He'd make a great villain, ESPECIALLY if he got the PCs to "rescue" him the first time they fought his minions...

It's great. And I was reminded of this by someone else.
