An item is anything with a value in the lower right corner of the card, including the words "No Value".

Would the "One shot" mention also indicate that it is an Item - as bonuses, for an example, don't need such a mention ?

No. Like Nerftw said, an item is any card that has a gold piece value (or credits for Star Munchkin) in the bottom, right corner, or the phrase "No Value".

So there exist cards with "One Shot" mention that are not items ?

Dead End, Meaningless Escape, Monky Business, Chinese Feud To Go, Cheat Like There's No Tomorrow, Your Shoe's Untied, The Dungeon Casino, Dwarf Tossing, Feline Intervention, Semi-Final Strike, Take Me! Take Me!, All Your Beast Are Belong To Us, Wardrobe Malfunction, Contrived Escape, Continuity Error, Setup For The Sequel, Angsty Monolog, Ate At A Convention Snack Bar, Bookshelf Collapses, Comics Code Violation, Insane Monolog, Interpretive Dance Monolog, Scientific Monolog, Two Hour Monolog, Payoff, Scripted Escape, Seduce Enemy Agent, Diplomatic Immunity, PoisonTooth. . .

I've just gone through 2/3 of the way through the cards that say "Usable once only" in them (313 by my count), obviously bypassing Monsters and Classes that make reference to "usable once only" cards or Items and that's what I've found. I'd list all the remaining, but I have to go run errands. . .

Totally convinced by the huge mass of undisputable facts, I concede. ;-)
