Default 3 player?

Has anyone tried this with more than 2 players?

I've thought of doing this at my local shop, as my partner, and the manager of the shop hang out a lot, and I taught him the game tonight.

I'm thinking it will be harder to deal damage as you would split the monsters you hire between two other players, but curious if anyone has tried it and what rules changes they made?

I'm sure a future expansion will probably address this, as a number of cards say "target hero" instead of "opponent's hero"

Not certain I'd want to speculate how the rules would change though. If someone manages to house-rule this, I'd be interested as well.

I would assume that rather than just hiring monsters, you would hire them to attack a specific player.

without much modification you could probably play with the predator/prey from V:TES

basically if the play is going clockwise around the table you can only attack the person on your left and you are always defending against the person on your right. it might not work perfectly and you would have to decide on some sort of reward for a person for killing their prey, like a points system and shuffling cards from their discard back into their draw deck.

some things might get a little wonky like locations but you could try it.
