OK, I put the files on my OneDrive:
The Summary and some character notes
Julian's Diary, which I plan to keep updated
Current Character Sheet

Julian's hometown of Port Royale, Rattan is located in the place as Coxen Hole, Roatan, and that can be used as a rough guideline for what his hometown is like.

Text version for your perusal, probably won't keep it updated unless you ask; it's easier to generate PDFs.

That's a really LONG diary.

If you could keep the link to the current sheet updated on that post, that will suffice.

Julian is accepted. His first world will show up soon!

I don't know if I've said this before, but when sending people to worlds, I choose three possible scenarios, and then roll to find out which one they will be going to.

if you have any requests along these lines, let me know:

If you want the PC to see a lot of something, please let me know explicitly. This is particuarly true of combat -- by default I play this game with lots of situations where the PC is outgunned and violence is a good way to get killed. Other requests could be for lots of mysteries to solve (I'm totally fine with sticking a modern detective in ancient rome and presenting them with a murder), lots of starfish aliens, horror scenarios, or stories around a certain continuing plotline.

Yeah, read through that recently (that crossover made things confusing). Feels more like an artifact of where she was dropped first more than anything else. I suppose nightmare do provide more motivation.

Yeah. It's one part trying to get a feel for the character in "normal" circumstances, one part spreading a bunch of events across a reasonable length of time, and one part justifying everything on the character sheet. The concise summary covers pretty much everything in the diary.

I think the only thing I'm likely to refer to that isn't there are "Television Dreams" (i.e. the uncontrollable part of Clairsentience acts out and points at a television for the duration of dream. This is mostly justification for a confused Julian on the first jump, not one who takes the dream entirely seriously right off the bat.)

Yeah, I put up a direct link to the current sheet.

A lot of these are more specific, but:
-> I'm not entirely fond of not having anyone to talk to (either because we don't share a common language at all or I'm dumped without anyone nearby, like Daniel).
-> I came up with a bit to use if Julian could see the sky when Julian awake after the first jump
-> Well, I was originally going on the assumption that wherever Julian ends up would be better or at least no worse than where he started, but if you want to toss him into a horror scenario that's worse then go ahead.
-> Having read three false starts on the Martian world I kind of want to see that one reach a more natural conclusion.

In conclusion, do whatever, we'll see how it shakes out.

I can make sure there is always someone to talk to. No promises about them all speaking English or having language magic.

The "Men of Mars" world seems to always fail, yeah. That scenario calls for a military-aged man... but choosing someone else might break our curse.

So... uhh... first world I chose for you has a distinctly non-standard sky... re-rolling... we can put that on top options...

I can work the same bit with any sky, as long as it doesn't resemble the ceiling of a storm sewer.

Peter is really far off his predicted arc for this section... which is fine and fun, a solo play by post is perhaps the best place to completely surprise the GM.

well done.

Subverting expectations can be good fun!

Peter did make some non-standard moves... He really didn't want to get thrown in with slave labor!

I'd love to hear how you thought it would go... maybe after he moves on to the next place... (Of course, he kind of HAS moved on.)

The expected arc was a prison break!

Well, I'm not disappointed... I'll take traversing the realms of the gods over a prison break any day!

Whoohoo! Peter has made it to 100 pages!
