Discussion of 'CP' as an Abbreviation
I ran out of steam about halfway through searching this thread for "CP" is that a recognized abbreviation for Character Points?
I had a couple people use it in responses to my thread and in context that seems to be correct, but I feel the need to double check. Im sure I saw someone reference "Kromm doesn't use CP" or something like that as I binge read the boards. The reference was in an older thread I didn't feel like resurrecting to ask that utterly off topic question (and of course I did not make a note of it at the time). CP is used in Technical Grappling for Control Points.

So... unfortunately in this instance you'll have to rely on context to sort this one out. |

I wonder what an alternative might be. Nothing good comes to mind here. Wrestling Points or Grappling Points is dull. Kratos Points (Greek kratos, power/strength/control, found in pankration) is fitting but esoteric. Submission Points is on the right track, but the points cause submission, not represent it. I vote for PP. Not Power Points, but Pretzel Points.

Nowhere good, I'm sure. : /
Hey, whswhs' Restraint Points is great! Perfect for anyone who's really bothered by the CP acronym. (Though I'm one of the [I assume] majority who'll happily stick with the otherwise ideal term Control Points.)
