Well, M3 is a reality, so I upped my pledge (even if it's not necessary at this point). I had been waiting to see what it looked like in the morning, but no point in waiting any longer... :)

I can't imagine why not. The image is public domain so we should be free to speculate about how to use it.

It is a very interesting design. When you way WIP, how much of the design is "for sure?" town placement? water placement?

Please note that the playmat is not in the public domain. This is copyright Steve Jackson Games. The image may be seen by the public, yes, but we retain copyright ownership of the work.

That's the thing - this map is a map for GEVs. They can go almost everywhere and shoot into almost everywhere.

There's one avenue into that bay with two choke points.

That peninsula is dead ground. No way to defend it.

(And will it geomorph with any of the other maps in a sane way?)

Kinda sucks then that there's a biggish city on it and defending it for as long as possible is your only job. >:)

It certainly looks like a fun challenge to defend!

If you can drop the bridge quick, that shuts off the bay. GEVs can't blitz ashore and inland very quickly. Looks like there's enough depth of ground available for MHZ and MSL to rough up landing attempts. HWZ in the back mainland cities cover the peninsula nicely.


The roads at the far end of the mainland match the roads of M1. The forest block on that edge is a little mis-matched.
