You don't use stats for something which can't be quantified. Chuck Norris is a campaign feature (and he exists in every campaign whether the GM wants him there or not; Rule -1)

And yeah, Chuck Norris doesn't get written up in GURPS terms. GURPS gets written up in Chuck Norris terms: "Two thick hardbacks, so I went with a roundhouse kick to be sure. Felt a little crunchy as it turned to dust."

The Chuck Norris comment annoyed me enough that I came up with this little gem:

"Genma. why did you throw that other martial artist out the window?" asked the Martial Artist

"Well you yelled "Chuck Norris", so I figured that his name was Norris and you wanted me to chuck, ie throw, him somewhere," said Genma poud of himself.} The window was the closest thing I could throw him through.

The Martial Artist sighed. "Genma Saotome, you bring a whole new meaning to the term 'dumber then advertised'"

"Yeh, ain't it great." replied Genma.

The Martial Artist pulled out a thermos and hit Genma with its cold contents turning him into a panda. He then pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number. "Morningstar Entertainment[? Heard you wanted some actors for your live action mockbuster The Little Panda Fighter 2. I think I have the perfect candidate for the lead. ... Don't worry I'll pay for the ticket to send him there. ... Why? Let's just say there is only so much stupid I can stand."

On a side note, noice to see work on Girl Genius Sourcebook and Roleplaying Game continuing as I was concerned it had fallen into Development Room 7734.

I've been quiet about this for a long time, but no more.

Wikipedia says "Chuck Norris facts," or "normally absurd hyperbolic claims about Norris' toughness, attitude, sophistication, and masculinity," started in early 2005. On the Internet, maybe.

But my fellow GURPS GM known as Dr. Sinister Craven and I were doing this in the 1990s when we were roommates and watched Norris' Walker, Texas Ranger together. I watched, but made fun of the show which I then became concerned would irritate my roommate. But when I asked, he said he thought it was amusing. We started doing, "Walker vs. (fill-in-the-blank); who would win?" The answer was always Walker (even Superman didn't win every time).

It then spread to tongue-in-cheek GURPS games at Strategicon conventions. No matter what the monster was, it was afraid of Walker.

I'm not actually taking credit for starting the Internet meme; somebody else probably started it independently. But we did it first.
