Re-reading my Zombie Survival Guide...

So I've just started re-reading my Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks in preperation for the release of GURPS Zombies. The Guide almost feels like a GURPS book without the numbers! Any chance it was used as research material for GURPS Zombies?

That book states a lot of simply untrue "facts" about weapons. I know it's a comedy book, but you should probably take everything he says about guns and/or explosives with a large amount of salt.

I could see a somewhat intriguing fan-made GURPS sourcebook for Solanum zombies, but I don't know of any such works actually existing.

As Sir Pudding mentioned considering how blatantly wrong most of the actual depictions of weapons and military tactics apparently are I doubt it had any serious influence.

Not a fan work but their is supposed to be an official Zombie book sometime down the pipeline that I suspect should be able to handle Solanum Zombies.
