Default Ogre designer's edition question

The other day someone was asking about maps. What I would like to know is which counter sheets are only available in ODE?

I know about the sponsored counter sheets listed at http://www.sjgames.com/ogre/sponsored-counters/

All of the sheets in ODE are unique to that edition.

Ok. Would you mind listing them and short description.

From what I read:
A1 combine units
B1 pan euro units

But those are the only ones I am sure of.

You might review the list as kept on the forums.

You will also find the counter manifest on BGG helpful.

Just took a look at Daniel's ODE counter list and realized it was only last week when I had my first look at Ogre Designer's Edition in real life as opposed to in photos. A game shop in Clawson, MI had (and may still have) one on sale by consignment: a huge red box with some more countersheets shrinkwrapped against the back of the box. That would make it a Kickstarter edition, I believe. Made me appreciate the remarks from folks who've had a hard time transporting and storing the thing.

That same day I had returned from a gaming convention where I carried Ogre Pocket Edition along with Ogre record cards, a pencil, and a die in my hip pack, ready for possible pick-up games. That was at U-Con in Ypsilanti, where Ogre Miniatures and Car Wars sessions were going on. It's kind of fun seeing how these games have thrived in both micro and mega formats.

Not necessarily. The Retail version also has the counters on the outside. It's packaged that way because there's nowhere to put the unpunched sheets inside the box. The Kickstarter edition just has a few more sheets than the Retail version.

What will tell you if it's a kickstarter edition is if it has either a Red-on-black or yellow-on-black Kickstarter sticker on the front.

I see. Yeah, wasn't completely sure about that. Point is, though, ODE is a whole lot of Ogre-ness going on. Old news to everybody, including me, but it was still impressive to see. Kind of like standing under a real B-17 after seeing who knows how many pictures of them.

Good ole Ogre. Or say: good ole shiny new Ogre. One of the very few games I've enjoyed not only playing but evangelizing.

It is a stupid-big box; no question about it. :-)
