If you have two of them they can be “The Corsican Brothers”.

"The Corsican Ogre" was another name for Napoleon Bonaparte.

Yes. You become more well disposed towards it the closer it is to your capital city.

Wonder if a fun scenario could be worked up in which there are two Ogres but it if you hit one you damage the other one.

More generally I wonder if "fairy Ogre" scenarios would be worth coming up with, on the model of "fairy chess" problems. These are chess problems in which the rules of the game are changed to permit interesting situations that would otherwise not be possible. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy_chess

A joking reference to that famous series of headlines of course, but what if Ogres could do psyops? Affect minds directly with microwaves or subsonics? Ogretal Mind Control Lasers? Suppress morale, cause units to misfire or even attack friendlies.

Possible overlap here with Ogrethulhu.

Old fashioned, short (average height for its era), that came up from the ranks of the Artillery:
An Ogre Mk.I sporting a MHZ gun instead of a main battery; only shoots in the main fire phase, not during overruns.

The question is not so much what if an Ogre could do mind control, but what interesting and uncomfortable choices would that force it's opponent to make?

I recently crossed the Waterloo 1815 game from C3i magazine with Ogre using a Dopp for Napoleon’s forces.
