Default Formating stat blocks

Here's my first attempt.

Hit the Format button once the character is entered.

Next to add gear

"enter a valid character"

How much weight is placed on "valid" here? Other than the (useful) pre-reqs for talents embedded in the code, are there any other code bits that preclude things that not everyone would say "yes, that's how it should be done?/is done?"

Other than the halflings I'm doing everything by the book, AFAIK.

Personally, I would tend to follow Steve's original TFT style, i.e.:

I wouldn't list Knife when someone has Sword. Knife to me means they don't know Sword, since Sword always includes Knife.

Similarly, I would list Missile Weapons 3 rather than "Missile Weapons I, Missile Weapons II, Missile Weapons III".

And I write "Ax/Mace Master" rather than listing the weapon talent and then "Weapon Expertise, Weapon Mastery".

There's no way to show which weapon talent is at Expert or Master level.

I would not list talents in alphabetical order. I tend to list them in "relevance to combat" order, with the main weapons first, combat relevant talents next, then other talents, grouped by relevance to each other. This makes it easier for me to find and understand what a character's abilities are. Alphabetizing them is almost like randomizing them, to me.

Putting in "Talents include:"

Done

For example:

Human wizard, age XX
ST 12, DX 12, IQ 12, MA 10
Talents include: Master Administrator
Spells include: Staff to Snake
Weapons:
Armor:
Equipment:
Magic Items:
• Staff: 16" laurel wand, value $5 (1d)

Some of the suggestions are contained in the new official stat block format and are different from older style printed books. They've not propagated completely, I believe, but I think they're supposed to going forward.

Yes! Alphabetical order is nice, because there are no judgment calls about what's "relevant to combat", but I care less about standardization and more about quickly finding what I need to know in the heat of the moment.
