Default Metric

I was surprised that TFT was metric given that GURPS is imperial.

Will the new TFT remain metric?

Hi Wayne,
There was a huge debate about this, with people asking for their favourite system, and the admin's closed it down. I don't believe SJG has said one way or another yet.

Warm regards, Rick.

I guess I don't really mind one way or another.

In GURPS we just say 1 m = 1 yard (what is the abbreviation for yard? )and 1 kg = 2 lb.

Being an Australian, we converted to metric 48 years ago (I'm almost 56) so metric is what I think of.

Having said that, I think of people as 6 foot tall and 100kg and babies at 53 cm long and 3 lb 6 oz.

Everything else is metric, but I don't really care. Certainly don't start another argument!

I did settle on imperial for the new edition, yes. I think in imperial and that ended up overriding some good arguments for leaving it metric.

No flames, please - we had those already.
