Default Realm Magic and grades of Success

Reading through the grades of success rules for flexible magic it appears that each grade applies to every relevant category of the spell. Is this accurate?

Meaning, if a player wants to heal everybody in an area, and gets 3 grades of success he applies 3 to the AOE chart, Range and the Healing chart, and if he wanted to make the effect sustaining (last a duration), he could even apply it to the duration chart as well?

I ask because I come from a World of Darkness background where in Mage, Successes like this would need to be divided between each category.

Yes, that is how the degree of success interpretation of the spell parameter charts works.

The energy accumulating variant of Path/Book magic would work exactly like this if you only gathered energy once. You could easily adapt the energy accumulation rules for Realm Magic.
