What are the MegaBucks in the second edition? Midget poker chips? paper chits? etc. Pics would be great.

Thanks

Paper chits, same size and denominations as the old ones, new art. Sort of like a $20.00 from 1980 for the old ones, and $20 from 2018 for the new ones.

Not enough small denominations. Spent way too much game time fiddling around looking for singles. Fussing with money chits was one of the biggest drawbacks of the original game, (which we loved and played a LOT) and I was hoping that the new edition would have eliminated that annoyance. The new game is mechanically identical to the original, but the cultural humor is no longer decades out of date. If you still play the original edition and enjoy it, this is not a must-have. What I would have much preferred is an updated OBD INWO set, as I found the action token mechanic much preferable to messing with money chits.

I’m also surprised that I have to look around this much to find a thread about a newly released game. It’s a disappointment that there doesn’t seem to be enough interest for the game to give it its own page.

Does anyone know what promo cards are out in the wild for Illuminati 2ed? I found the "Fake News" card on ebay. Are there any more promo cards? Will they be available from Warehouse 23? Are they convention exclusive? Thanks in advance.

The bibliography in the original edition of Illuminati literally changed my life. I read most of the books on it and was never the same. I'd probably be a productive citizen now were it not for that bibliography! :D Seriously, it was worldshaking stuff for a young Midwesterner.

The idea was to both make the rulebook look less intimidating _and_ give players reference cards that they can share.

Good to know that the idea worked.

If you're looking for a completely ridiculous and over-the-top approach to money, we're making metal coins:
