Can a female character fight Psycho Squirrel?

For some cards it is stated that the monster will not pursue the Munchkin. In these cases you are allowed to attack that monster if you want to. What about the Psycho Squirrel? Can a female Munchkin choose to attack the Psycho Squirrel if she wants to?

A Monster that will not attack a certain type of character can not be fought by that character, and it immediately goes away. Unless the card says otherwise, there are no rewards for this, and even then, those rewards are not collected until after any other remaining Monsters are defeated.

Yeah, I imagined there was a difference to those these would not pursue you, and I just wanted to be sure.
