Frankly, a medium-sized, lower price product in general would help GURPS. Even 3e had the Players Book available in the late 1980s, which was the first 12 chapters of the Basic Set. Something softcover, stripped down, and is less like a reference book. That would open more markets than a pocket sized edition.

Hmm...maybe, but either way it would be nice if we could get GURPS back in stores. I'll do my part and try to get some games going and show people the awesomeness that is rolling low on 3d6.

We certainly don't need a 4e revised or a 5e but maybe a new format and definitely a physical product.

I agree regarding what we don't need. 4e is remarkably solid, and no 4.5e or 5e is needed, even after a decade and a half.

My (utterly uneducated) thought on the topic is that a more attractive and updated GURPS LITE would be a good way to bring attention back to the game. With a new freebie adventure that's short (gamers' time is short!) but ready to play (with pre-gen PCs).

(But with that, whoops, I'm sliding into one of those ever-regenerating "What GURPS needs is..." threads. We could have a subforum just for those!)
