Magnificent Hat and New Edition Rules curse
During our last game I had in play the Magnificent Hat. Then someone drew the Curse! New Edition Rules that affected all players. Did that included me?It wasn't very clear because the Magnificent Hat card talks about curses that I draw from Kicking the Door or curses that someone throws directly at me..In this case it was someone else's curse that affected me too...

Re: Magnificent Hat and New Edition Rules curse
We've ruled in that past that a Curse that affects the entire party counts as a Curse played on you for the purposes of Magnificent Hat, but that rather than having a Curse like that continue to go on and on and on because of Magnificent Hat, that just the effect of whole party Curses is passed on to the low roller.

Re: Magnificent Hat and New Edition Rules curse
To make sure i also got this right. If there is a low roller tie, let's say two players rolled 1, they re-roll (those two) or they both suffer the effects?
From what you said i take it that at the end there must be only one, but i had to make this question. :)

Re: Magnificent Hat and New Edition Rules curse
Since the card doesn't mention a tie, there can't be one. So, however you want to settle ties, whether it be a roll off, rock-paper-scissors, or pistols (NERF or paintball only!) at 10 paces, is fine by me. In this case, the extra helping of Curse would go to the loser, of course.
