Hacker!
Calling all Hackerphilles out there, been toying with several mod ideas for this game to bring it up to date in some ways and also introduce customisation and scenario themes. Anyone out there playing any interesting mods or rules? Some things off the top of my head to get started: (1) Hacker specialisms, dealing out special skills at the beginning of a game that give modifiers / multipliers in certain scenarios - expert war dialler, expert social engineer, expert with system type / network type etc. (2) New kit, wireless cards, wireless access points, databases IPv6 and more. (3) l337 win conditions, change the system win requirements to needing root on 6, 12, 16 systems etc. instead of just shell access. (4) Modded hacker rigs, crazy contraptions with circuitry and flashing LEDs etc; just for fun! :# Lets get this thread going and come up with improvements for this amazing game - perhaps we can convince STG to make an update based on our ideas! :D
