Pray for a miracle
Pray for a Miracle. At any time, even during combat, you
may discard two cards, from your hand OR the table, to take the top card from the Treasure deck face-down into your hand. My question is that is there a limit to the amount of times a Cleric can do this? Only asking because lets say the Cleric is doing this to stop someone from winning the game and he goes until he is almost ouf of cards and player 2 then says (who also isnt in the combat) I will give you 20 items for your 1 there which in turn gives the Cleric more time to hopefully find a good stopping card. |

Re: Pray for a miracle
There is no limit given in the rules, so no, there isn't (other than the obvious limit imposed by the number of cards the Cleric has).

Re: Pray for a miracle
Is it OK for the Cleric to discard his race and class cards (and Half-Breed, Super-Munchkin, etc.) to get even more treasure cards?
And yes, this came up in a scenario of utter desperation, trying to prevent someone else from winning... |

Re: Pray for a miracle
He can discard any card except for the Cleric card that gives him his ability. So other Classes, any of his Race cards, Half-Breed and Super Munchkin are all acceptable cards for a Cleric to use this Epic Feat.

Re: Pray for a miracle
Sorry to bring this thread up again. I was thinking of trying to play using epic rules and got a question about this feat.
The latest Epic Munchkin pdf reads: Code:
"Cleric: Pray for a Miracle. At any time, even during combat, you may discard two cards, from your hand OR the table, to take the top card from the Treasure deck face-down into your hand. If it is something you can use, you may play it immediately." |

Re: Pray for a miracle
Thanks!
I can see possibility for easy cheating though: as no one is supposed to know neither your hand nor the card you just got, it may be impossible to say whether the card in question was acquired via the feat or had been in your hand all along. I'll just add a rule not to put the card into hand if you want to equip it. |

Re: Pray for a miracle
You can avoid the cheating potential by having the player keep the card with some simple mechanics: The player must keep the new card separate from the rest of his hand cards until such time as he decides to use it. Once he places it with the rest of his hand cards, the "immediately" time frame has expired, and he can no longer play and use an Item that is not a one-shot Item from his hand cards.
