I've been thinking about shields a bunch since starting to learn how to use the light, nimble, and large viking-style shield.

One-on-one with Shields: Upsetting the conventional wisdom

Improved Defense with Shields (DnD5e)

I've got a few GURPS-centric posts, but they're linked in the Gaming Ballistic thread in the GURPS subforum, not repeated here.

Huh. Been a while since I posted here. I'll go in reverse chrono order.

Firstly, I've got a Kickstarter going for Lost Hall of Tyr: a 5e adventure with strong Dungeon Grappling support for those that want it. I'm told it's very portable to other systems.

Dragon Heresy: Introductory Set coming to Kickstarter in April

Dragon Heresy is a Norse-inspired setting and supporting roleplaying game. It is built around a fantasy representation of the Nine Realms, where the Aesir, fae, dragons, and fiends all vie for control of Etera in the mortal realm of Midgard. The PCs are looking to become mighty heroes, and venture north into the ancient lands of the former demense of the Elder Dragons to find fame, fortune, glory, and magic.

It builds off of the excellent SRD5.1 game engine, but with adjustments and additions made to match the feel of the setting and provide more nuance to combat and struggle.

Dragon Heresy: Way too much fun with Photoshop mockups

I've got a game coming to Kickstarter in April . . . and I've been having way to much fun doing pre-visualization work to get folks an idea of what they're getting.

Photoshop is like black magic, y'all.

The latest update from the Kickstarter includes a breakdown of the page-counts of the sections in the book (as it stands), a snippet from the Norse-inspired cosmology, and a link to Follow Me, And Die!'s review of the Dragon Heresy Introductory Set.

Nice, juicy update for a Sunday morning!
