Default Grease monkey

Just got munchkin steampunk and looking through the cards and came across grease monkey.what does it mean by slips away from first attack and main player's level does not count against it.i'am thinking that the second half has to do with if the person fighting had a helper but not sure. Thax

The part about slipping away is called flavor text. It gives an explanation, in terms of the theme, for why the rule is what it is, usually. In this case the actual rule is that the main player's Level doesn't count for combat, which would apply even if he didn't have a helper.
