I missed the Kickstarter on this one, is there any way to get a physical copy at this time?

The book will be offered in the POD program.

Nice.
Why was that even shipped out of the warehouse? Why was that not written off as trash when it arrived at the warehouse from the printer? The envelope wasn't messed up at all, so it was clearly not the mail carrier, but was shipped from the warehouse with the spine broken & bent at the 30į angle. Just - special, that's all I can say.
Please email kickstart@sjgames.com for support.

Do what you want, by my decades of experience with Steve Jackson Games leads me to believe that if you did contact them, youíd be pleased with the results.

Among other things, contacting us with the details of your order allows us to track where the problem occurred. If itís our warehouse staff, then we need to remind them to look for bent spines. If itís not our warehouse staff, then we need to contact the shipper and let them know this is a problem that we donít expect to see recur.

It also allows us the chance to make it right with an unbent book, of course, which is the most important part of all.

Seriously.

Like if I thought my copy of Magic Items 2 was seriously damaged enough to need replacement by the manhandling the postal carrier gave it... well, I mean a replacement would be cool in that case (it's pretty much flattened back out, couple of heavy books on it for a few weeks'll do that), but not much for you to solve on your end. Literally the last stage of the delivery process.

For those that didn't back the Kickstarter, will the PoD version be of the same physical quality? Or was the KS version in color and the PoD in B&W?

The Kickstarter version of DF Magic Items 2 was a full color PoD (says so on the ISBN). I don't know what the release PoD will be like, but I suspect it will be full color too.

I hope so! I'd be more inclined to buy it in color. The B&W PoD books I've bought eg DF Companion leave me a bit underwhelmed, especially as there's not even any text on the spine.
