Knees?
I was wondering about cards like Spiky Knees. Is there a "Knee/Ankle" slot for cards that are not armor, but not footwear? Or am I simply misreading the card and it IS in fact footwear or armor?

Re: Knees?
Red,
My understanding of the rules is that there are only slots for Armor, Headgear, Footgear, and hands (1 2-handed weapon or 2 1-handed weapons). After that I don't think it matters what you have. However, I'm not sure if there is a rule against wearing two knee items together like Spiky Knees and the Knee pads of Allure. Hasn't happened in one of my games, but I suppose if it did I would assume that the person had added spikes to their knee pads. hehe. I would assume that MunchkinMan or Andrew would be able to give a definite answer. Last edited by pointed; 01-30-2012 at 01:36 PM. Reason: added space between paragraphs and spelling D'oh! |

I think that since they aren't armor, footwear, headgear, or items that use hands, that you can have as many as you want. That is just a guess, I don't know for sure.

Re: Knees?
Besides... think of how Munchkiney it is to be wearing two pairs of kneepads since the rules don't say you can't.

Re: Knees?
I have always had a problem because spiky knees look like armour to me. Since the FAQ say if it looks like a weapon then it is a weapon I'm not sure if this should be extended to spiky knees or not?

Re: Knees?
The difference is that there isn't a specified "Weapon" slot, so there isn't a clear "on card" determination of what is a weapon, whereas with Armor, you don't HAVE to rely on what it LOOKS like, since all Armor will say "Armor" on the card. The "looks like a weapon" thing is mentioned only because weapons aren't called out as such on the card.

Re: Knees?
Spiky Knees are neither Armor nor Weapons.
