ZOMB!eS Apocalypse using GURPS [OOC]

Hello survivors! This is the recruitment page to a low-level gritty post apoc survival game featuring Zomb!es...

Looking for players who can post at least 2x week. Would like between 2-4 players... will accept new recruits almost anytime even after game has started as this genre lends itself easily to people popping in... or dropping out... likely fallen victim to the zombies... and rising once again against the living players. Worthy of note here also, anyone who dies in the game is more than welcome to make up another character and return to the game.

Must make characters using GURPS character assistant (GCA) using GURPS 4th edition rules. Looking for realistic stats, no cinematic skills or advantages. 200 points total, -50 disads, -5 quirks, no abilities/stats above 17. Please include character's back story; Who were they, what profession, and what were they doing before the zombie plague. Equipment will only include what they were wearing at the time of the outbreak and perhaps whatever vehicle or may have been in their vehicle at the time (must be reasonable, example: baseball player with a bat, mechanic with a tool box and maybe a crowbar, golfer with a club, etc).

This game is intended for endless fun in the zombie genre. The objective is basically just simply survive, if you can and explore if you dare. An especially fun group could chose or try to become an investigative special forces type unit trying to solve the mystery behind the outbreak and perhaps try to discover a means to "cure" or "starve out" the infestation, if possible. The game will begin in Detroit, Michigan.

Player's GCA character files must be sent to me for approval before being accepted into the game forum.

Count me in!

Character concept is a jock who is a failed college football player and was working as a personal trainer. He is cocky and chauvanistic and kind of an ass. Although if he doesn't fit your mold i can comeup with something else.

I also live in the Detroit area so if you need landmarks or road names I can help. Will send a character sheet tonight!

Some questions:

What time of year is it?
(this is so I can determine what clothes he would likely be wearing)

What time frame are we looking at when the Apocolyspe happened? 2 days ago? 1 week? A Month? etc.
(So I can determine what skills and equipment he would logicllay have.)

Do we need to buy equipment? Also do we need to list everything we have?

Time is now.
We can say the characters aren't aware of the outbreak yet. It's still happening now.
Don't need to buy equipment, but you only have what's on you at the time when we start. Must be logical. I will have to approve of course.

I probably won't actually start the game today. Perhaps tomorrow night? Would like to get a chance to look over the characters and give others time to join. Sorry Zoncxs.
