And just when I was convinced zombie campaigns were boring ...
... I read Zombies: A Hunter's guideby Joseph McCullough and published by Osprey Publishing (yes, that Osprey Publishing).
Unlike Max Brooks' Zombie Survival g\Guide, which goes into detail on one specific type of zombie and how civilians can survive attacks from them, Zombies: A Hunter's Guide covers five types of zombies (necromantic, voodoo, revenants, atomic and viral), with additional chapters in zombie animals and zombie masters (not necromancers or bokor, but humans who appear to be able to carry the zombie virus witout being harmed by it and -- even worse -- able to command viral zombies). There are chapters on government and mercenary zombie hunter groups (including the highly illegal Zombie Dueling Association), and on ther equipment and tactics of [rofessional zombie hunters. So given five types of zombies, three kinds of humans who might be controlling them, and the odd viral zombie dog pack, a zombie campaign looks more interesting ;)
