"Exiting" a room

I played MQ for the first time last month and went out and bought my own.
I've been reading the rules and I'm a little confused on room movement. The Rules state "You can always go through one exit per turn, of any type, by spending all your move"

I was under the impression that say you move to a room and you search and/or kill a monster in it, if you have more move tokens left, you can move to or explore another room.

Is that the case or no?

The "spending all your Move" clause is there to say that you're never stuck for lack of Move -- you can spend your entire turn's Move allotment to move through any link that's not a wall. Even if, somehow, your Move is 0. It's an exception to the normal rules for movement.
