Can you search/fight more than one monster per turn?

For example-move into a room, fight and kill the monster, move into another room and fight and kill the monster in that room too, then search that room?

Yes. As long as you have Move, you can do all the things that Move allows. Any limits on a given activity are expressly stated, as we don't expect you to infer the proper limits from nothing.
