I’m unsure what the “backing curve” is for these projects (this is my first) but I’m a bit concerned that the starting surge of backers is only at 50% or so. I speak with significant self-interest as I want more Ogre minis in the future. :) - Larry |

The standard inverse bell curve that we see on Kickstarter will not play out on Indiegogo. IGG will be somewhat more linear with folks waiting for paydays to hit.

Thank you for your concern, but please note that we've closed this subtopic. The discussion about whether Indiegogo is good for this campaign is moot, since we're on Indiegogo and we don't intend to cancel.

So a question for you, Phil. Any reason you chose black minis over gray minis? Both have been made before in the Ogre line; it's just that gray tends to be more user friendly when end-user painting is involved.
Either way, I'm in for five of each. |

Black has the twin advantages of being much easier to prime and paint most reasonable color schemes than a lighter base, /and/ being the awesomecool default color of the awesomecool Nightfall faction.

For future choice of monochrome projects, my vote is for grey too. Takes any other colour spray right on top of it without needing a white undercoat for brighter colours.

I saw someone say that shipping is $10 for 3 sets to the US. Is it the same for 1 and 2 sets?

I would have thought that folks would want red and blue. Since Phil has said that the big expense is the tooling, I would think that running two different colors of plastic through the molds wouldn't be too outrageous (though Phil also said that they have to use gallons of some kind of cleanser between colors).

Re: Indiegogo: Ogre Miniatures Set 3 - Doppelsoldner and Ogre Mark VI
I'm hoping that future OGRE crowdfunding will involve these minis available being available in different colors. For example: perhaps as stretch goals for a big OGRE Minis campaign to get the Combine units done.
Speaking of which. If the Combine units ever do get their own chance at a Kickstarter, I'm wondering if SJG is going to do it in two campaigns (like we did for the Paneuropean units, or whether you will do it in one BIG campaign with all nine of the units (well, eleven counting the infantry and CP) with stretch goals possibly including buildings (like lasers, laser towers, hardened CPs, mobile CPs, reactors, jamscreens, radars, admin buildings, etc.)

CON_troll, I figure it will be two crowdfundings with all the discussions about mold costs during this one. The metal molds for this one is almost the whole cost they are trying to raise.
BTW, I to hope they make the buildings and missile crawlers. |
