Wow! That would’ve been awesome! What happened?

I don't fully know. It seemed like they didn't get enough good stuff quickly enough. But I never really knew.

That link/book was for third edition. So quite some time ago.

Well, yes. Still never came out, though. I remember sending in a couple of submissions for that, several computers and a few email addresses ago so they're irretrievably lost now. Indeed, it's been sufficiently long that I don't remember why it was canceled. It was well after the Secret Service raid, so I don't think it was caught up in that.

It was pulled just a few days after it was announced so I suspect somebody's schedule underwent a large and unexpected change.

I see. Then it might be a good idea to mention that on the page.

Huh. Never heard of it.

Would be cool to see it resurrected for 4e. Maybe in the Locations series – except that each book in that series (as I understand it) is intended to cover just an individual location. But maybe it'd make a nice new entry in the Horror series.

Wow, you learn something new everyday. I also think it would make a good catalogue even today, preferably something a little bigger than the average PDF supplement. Also that's a book that could benefit from maps and illustrations.

You don't need a full GURPS Locations entry for each bad place, but four pages
apiece would be nicer than the two pages per entry plus introductory chapter and lead-out that was probably envisioned here (back then 90% of GURPS books were 128 pages).

It's a shame, too, because the cover art was part of the GURPS Horror GM Screen. The other three panels were all used on other books in the Summer of Horror line up.
