Life-O-Suction Question
In what instances is damage from a monster or weapon with Life-O-Suction considered "dealt"?
Does weapon defense reduce suctioned health? Does armor that prevents damage reduce suctioned health? If damage is dealt to an ally, does the suction take the amount that the ability can take, or is the maximum the life of the ally? (Life-O-Suction 3 vs ally life of 2, does hero heal 3 or 2?)

Re: Life-O-Suction Question
I’ll chime in here with with specific examples of how Branson and me interpreted and played this.
Scenario 1: Leecher with life o suction and 2 power is hired. Defender commits a weapon with 2 defense. Leecher survives the combat then hits the shield of the weapon, not flesh. We viewed this as no damage dealt. Therefore no life of suction occurs. Scenario 2: Leecher is hired in the DMZ. defender does not commit any weapons. However defender has armor with a zap and prevent monster damage ability as an interrupt. Damage is dealt to the hero by the leecher but is then interrupted and ultimately prevented resulting in no damage and thus no life o suction. Scenario 3: Leecher with 2 power kills an ally with one health. Attacker heals 2, not 1. Did we play these correctly? Last edited by Majobasil; 08-08-2019 at 04:17 AM. Reason: Edits |

Re: Life-O-Suction Question
Quote:
If you check the same section of the rules above, and look at the One Committed Ally section, you will see "If the damage dealt to an Ally is greater than its life, the Ally is squished, but no damage carries through to the defender." The damage is still dealt, even if the Ally has less life than that, so if your Life-o-Suction value is high enough, you could get back more than the Life total of the Ally. Quote:
