Heroic Archer for Slings and Staff Slings?

I have been browsing for a while for this advantage, but I have not found anything clear. I believe "heroic archer" could work for slings; but what do you say? I don't want to stretch the rules...

If you look at the Dungeon Fantasy forum, the resources link includes several sample characters. Two-thirds of the scouts use Heroic Slinger.

Yeah, it's a pretty obvious extrapolation. I mean, it is stretching the rules, but it's not stretching them very far.
