Order of operations during combat phase

While playing the deluxe version, when someone goes into combat others can add to the monsters stats, take away stats or equipment etc etc. While the player can ask for help from someone to help defeat a monster, there is something that I can not find online.

Is there somewhere that officially says what comes first before another action? Such as does the "asking for help" move come after the phase where you can mess with the monster to stop them from winning? Or does someone have to declare they are messing with the monster before asking for help etc?

There really isn't an order of operations here. Combat for the most part is free flowing with players buffing the munchkin, the monster, or asking for help from others in no particular order.

The player who is currently fighting can ask for help at any point during the combat as long as they are currently losing the battle. It doesn't matter if the other players played a dozen cards to buff the monster, or if it's immediately after kicking down the door and revealing the monster. As long as the player is losing, they can ask for help.
