Blinders steed enhancer

If have a steed wearing Blinders and you choose not to discard your steed after losing a combat, do the Blinders make you automatically suffer the Bad Stuff of the monster(s) you were fighting, or will monsters that normally do not pursue you still not pursue?

It is clear how it works with the Raptor steed (you either discard the Raptor and automatically escape, or you keep the Raptor and automatically suffer the Bad Stuff), but I’m not sure if the Blinders were meant to operate the same way.

Monsters that don't pursue you will not pursue you regardless.
