I think the omission of "fair or foul" at the end there changes the implications quite a bit, don't you? In plain English, the whole sentence taken together in context says "We believe that if you are ugly on the outside, it is no superficial thing, but an indicator that the core of your being is foul."

Outward ugliness isn't just about physical Appearance (in GURPS terms).

I'm not going to get into a semantic argument about that, but I think the text we're both looking at makes it pretty clear that they are drawing their conclusions about one's character from visual appearance, not active behavior.
I might rip this for comic relief someday... "Clerics of Sune are Good people! They volunteer over at the prison doing cosmetics and aerobics with the evildoers to rehabilitate them!" :) |

Interpretation of the text aside, i've been in and seen quite a few Forgotten Realms games under Dungeons and Dragons. I do not recall a Good aligned Cleric of Sune ever immediately assuming a person of average or below average appearance to be evil, unless they did evil deeds (same as an attractive succubi: they didn't think of them as "good" right away.).
Perhaps they were playing them wrong? *shrugs* In any case, it's not the kind of priest I was looking to recreate with GURPS rules, but I can see why you might view the dogma that way, Gold & Appel Inc. Last edited by Ragitsu; 09-17-2009 at 10:20 PM. |

Et cetera. The trend continues in Faiths & Avatars. In Faiths & Pantheons (3E), they switch to "do the best you can with what you have." In the FR DM's Guide (4E), it doesn't mention much. |

Would that be Charisma, Smooth Operator, or something else?

Charisma too. This is described as the Goddess' essence. And A true follower mut have a beautiful personality as well as a hot body.
Delusion: Ugly equals evil! Some of the later editions moved her to the Good side, but I could see the Chaotic Neutral servants of her rnning Fat farms and beauty treatment clinics...

Shouldn't it be Intolerance (Ugly people, creatures) instead ?

What kind of ability would let one "charm" another as per the Charm/Charm Person D&D spells?
