Fight monster for win
This is a timing issue. When landing on level 10, how quickly does a competitor need to hand you an interference card? I defeated my level two monster in a few seconds but my son wanted to give me a card.

Re: Fight monster for win
"A reasonable time," which is certainly not more than a few seconds unless your group agrees that longer time is reasonable.
But without knowing the specifics of your situation, I'm hesitant to say absolutely that your son's play was or wasn't kosher. How exactly did he "interfere"?

Re: Fight monster for win
Thanks for the clarification. I defeated a level 2 monster for the win on level 10 and was reaching for my treasure card when he wanted to play a wandering monster card and I said it was too late. We are now agreed to a new house rule of 8 seconds to deploy such a card. Thanks much.

Re: Fight monster for win
Theres many ways to handle this but when its for the win i feel that extra time is required
We tend to say "anyone stopping" if people are talking about the battle then the round continues, if it starts dragging you do a countdown until someone says to stop There shouldnt be a direct time limit just a reasonable time From your description id say your sons in the right, its for the win so he was 100% always gonna use it he was likely waiting to see if anyone else was doing something Not fair for you to rush ahead and declare hes too late |

Re: Fight monster for win
Once you've declared your victory and given people a reasonable time to interfere, they can't come back and do so later. Waiting around for someone else to do something is deciding to do nothing.
This is not intended as a discussion forum. I've given the official answer; unless you think I've overlooked something, please move on.
